How often should mulch be replaced?


Most mulch should be refreshed every year.  Some people prefer to go every two years, but usually that second year mulch is getting pretty faded and decomposed. 


What type of mulch last the longest?

The dyed hardwood mulch last the longest they keep their color and don't decompose as fast.


How thick should mulch be?

Most landscape beds require 2"-3" of mulch,  that thickness is best for weed control.
